The Walks Coordinator is responsible for producing
the Group's Walk Programme, which entails taking the walks offered by the various walk leaders that support the Group and putting them together to provide a varied and exciting programme for all the Group's members to enjoy.
Taking over from Mark Billington, Mike has previously acted as a non-elected committee member co-ordinating LDP (long distance path) walks, so already 'knows the ropes'. If this weren't enough for the role, Mike also leads a fair few walks and has been a member of the Group since 2004 as well, so has a good LYPWG
pedigree!
During the week Mike works as an accountant for Bolton
Council, and when not out
and about with LYPWG, Mike likes to watch Rochdale FC and do pop quizzes. Mike is married to Julie and has one son,
Simon.
