The LYPWG was founded by a group of like-minded friends in the spring of
2003. Since then it has steadily grown to become one of the
best supported Ramblers' Groups in the mid-Lancashire Area.
As a Ramblers' Group it is bound by a Constitution and its aims
and has a formal Committee to ensure its smooth running and adherance to its
Constitution, whilst providing a superb range of walks, socials and events to
those in their 20s and 30s throughout Lancashire.
The Committee is elected during our Annual
General Meeting which is typically held every November
and consists of eight members, led by the Chairman. Each committee member is elected for a term of one year. There are also several non-elected members of the committee who assist in running the Group.
